FIRE DOOR SURVEY
They are a legal requirement in all non-domestic properties, such as businesses, commercial premises, and public buildings. They are also required in blocks of flats and houses of multiple occupancy (HMOs)
A fire-rated door must have the following requirements: It must possess a fire-rated label. The door frame must have the attached or an embossed label. It must be self-latching and self-closing
According to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire doors must be "subject to a suitable system of maintenance and are maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair"
A fire door inspection survey will check that your
building's fire doors are compliant with the Regulatory
Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which makes it a legal requirement to ensure that fire resisting doors are correctly installed and adequately maintained to be fit for purpose.
BS 9999 recommends that fire communal fire doors should be inspected every 6 months
