Emergency First aid at Work

Service Description

This 5 hour training course will provide candidates with the EFAW certificate to comply with HSE requirements. It may also be used as a knowledge update. • Communicating with a casualty • Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation. • Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely and promptly • Administer first aid to someone who is: • Unconscious ( including seizures ) • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Including use of Automated External Defibrillator • Choking • Wounded and bleeding • Shock • Minor conditions including minor cuts and bruises, minor burns and scalds. • Anaphylaxis shock • Seizures Aims/Outcomes • Candidates will have an effective understanding of the knowledge required to assist in a first aid emergency at work. This course will be attended by • Anyone with First Aid role within a company. • Managers • Supervisors • Successful candidates will receive an approved certification valid for three years.
