Service Description
This one day training course will provide a foundation of knowledge and greater awareness in relation to Health & Safety, managing and reducing risk. Working safely meets the government's guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive's 'passport' syllabus. The training day will bridge the gap between management and workforce, encouraging delegates to play a part in processes that are commonly seen as manager / supervisor responsibility. Candidates will be able to explore two key areas – health and safety and environmental basics. It may also be used as a knowledge update. • Course content - Introducing working safely • Personal responsibility • Defining hazard and risk • Identifying common hazards • Improving safety performance • Understanding your responsibilities • Undertaking risk assessments. Aims/Outcomes • Candidates will have an effective understanding of the knowledge required to assist in handling health and safety in their day to day working environment. This course will be attended by • Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety. • Successful candidates will receive either the IOSH “Passport” or IOSH Certificate in Working Safely
